Jātipi dukkhā – Birth is dukkha
Jarāpi dukkhā – Ageing is dukkha
Maranampi dukkham – And death is dukkha
Soka-parideva-dukkha-domanassupāyāsāpi dukkhā – Sorrow lamentation pain grief and despair are dukkha
